Cheddar Jalapeno Cornbread

A savory cornbread with a kick, featuring melted cheddar cheese and spicy jalapeños.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup cornmeal

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup buttermilk

  • 1/4 cup melted butter

  • 1 egg

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • Chopped jalapeños

Instructions
  1. Mix cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and salt.

  2. Add buttermilk, melted butter, and egg. Fold in cheese and jalapeños.

  3. Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown.
